Business owners can now respond to Google business reviews!

Google has made a welcome update to Google Places that should please all business owners.They have given business owners the ability to respond to any reviews made on the business listing.

Responding to reviews
It has been the subject of contention for some time that reviews can be posted about a business for which the business owner has no ability to respond. Obviously the best option is always to deal directly with a customer, however if you don’t know who made the comment then a public response is the only option.

It’s good to respond to positive comments as well as those that may not be portraying the business in the best possible light! However if you are responding to a less favourable comment, remember to be receptive to the idea – it may be a good one, or one that will trigger you to create a new solution that will make your business better.
