Internet marketing can be described in general terms as the capturing of leads for prospective customers and/or the generation of sales from prospects surfing the Internet.
Traditionally, that meant getting your website into Google, Yahoo (and other) search engines so that it showed up when a potential customer of yours typed in a “keyword phrase”.

This consulting service is called Search Engine Optimization or SEO.
